Putting in Contact Lenses

When putting in contact lenses, it can be important to approach them with a careful mindset and clean hands  to ensure ease and safety. First, to ensure you have clean hands, wash your hands with a mild soap and dry them with a lint-free towel. Avoid using lotions or creams that may leave residue on your fingers.

It may be a good idea to also inspect the lens for any rips or tears before inserting it. To help avoid confusion between the left and right lenses, consider placing them on a clean surface with contrasting colors. Using your non-dominant hand, carefully hold open your eyelid while using your dominant hand to put the lens on the tip of your index finger. Steadily bring your dominant hand towards your eye. Once the lens is in your eye, slowly release your eyelid and blink gently to help the lens settle into place.
